What is difference between cancer & carcinoma?

A carcinoma is any malignant cancer that arises from epithelial cells. Carcinomas invade surrounding tissues and organs and may metastasize, or spread, to lymph nodes and other sites.
My brother had a carcinoma in his bladder.
